Declaration on Accessibility

ZB MED – Information Center for Life Sciences strives to ensure that its websites comply with the EU Directives 2016/2102 barrier-free access. The following declaration on accessibility documents the implementation status for the websites of the subdomains repository.publisso.de, journals.publisso.de and books.publisso.de according to the „Verordnung zur Schaffung barrierefreier Informationstechnik nach dem Behindertengleichstellungsgesetzt Nordrhein-Westfalen“

Status of compatibility with the requirements

The websites listed above are partially accessible. They are not yet completely compatible with the technical requirements according to the BITV 2.0 regulation

The declaration is based on a self-assessment.

The contents listed below are only accessible to a limited extent. An improvement is planned:

  • The PDF documents embedded on the websites are not accessible. As there are many files involved, it will take some time to correct the problem.
  • The websites can be operated using the keyboard, but there is a need to optimise the keyboard focus and the sequence.
  • Videos integrated into the website do not have audio description and subtitles. If the videos are integrated via the YouTube platform, it is possible to show automated subtitles.
  • Alternative texts for graphics and control elements are partly missing. They are to be added successively.
